This winter and spring has been marked by lots of moisture, with the resultant flooding. On April 12, 1991 Pratt, KS experienced an epic flooding event. Due to heavy rains, US highways 54 and 281 were closed and parts of the city of Pratt were evacuated. Lemon Park suffered heavy damage, with railroad tracks and cars washed away. Pratt, itself, received 6.25 inches of rain. That remains the 4th highest daily rainfall record for Pratt. Higher amounts: 6.65 inches on July 30, 1928; 6.58 inches on September 9, 2018; and 6.40 inches on April 20, 1974.
